Inspired By Nature
Hi I'm Lianne..
I love every hour I get to spend in my studio making & creating.. I love the quiet & the solitude of it.
I'm based in rural Martinborough surrounded by an abundance of nature which is the inspiration for my work.. from the raw beauty of our green rural landscape, to the wild windswept shores of our rugged coastline & the mountainous ranges of the Tararuas.
My candle vessels are handcrafted slowly using a curated blend of crushed volcanic rock, black sand & cement, embracing the natural imperfections & authenticity of each piece, no two vessels are ever the same. I hand pour in small batches using the finest quality coconut soy wax finding beauty in it's organic natural form, with a clean even burn & high scent throw, my fragrance oils are phthalate free & wicks are raw cotton, all ingredients are non GMO, vegan & cruelty free.
Working with air dried clay is another passion of mine, I love the feel of the chalky white texture in my hands as I mold & shape each piece & the nieve raw nature of the clay as it simply dries into it's end state, no need for glazes or kilns, just the beautiful soft clay & my hands shaping natural organic pieces that can be placed in your home to enjoy.
I believe that our home is our sanctuary, it's our sacred space, a place to breathe slowly, a place for our soul to rest, replenish & simply be.
If you are looking for an escape, a retreat, a quiet sanctuary to have a few days to disconnect, replenish & find your flow again we have a beautiful cabin high up on our farm that gives you exactly that.. it might be just what you need right now.

CANDLE CARE
To get the most from any candle you burn there are a few simple rules to follow:
ALWAYS trim the wick to 5mm before EVERY lighting including the very first.
When lighting my candles always burn the candle long enough for the wax pool to reach out to the edge of the bowl & completely cover the entire surface in the melted wax so as to get a complete and efficient burn, if you choose to extinguish before it reaches the edge you will set your candle up for tunnelling which is a small circle of melted wax surrounding the wick, this will create memory for the candles future burns resulting in a lot of wasted unused wax.
Burning your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time is not recommended.
Keep all burning candles out of draughts, away from curtains or other flammable items, on an even heat resistant surface & never leave it unattended.
Keep your candle out of the reach of children and pets. Stop burning your candle when only 5/8mm of wax remains at the bottom.
Please treat these handcrafted pieces with care & they will be enjoyed for a long life.
